Repairs and parts

Find the failed part, fit the right one

Igniters, burners, regulators and briquettes on any brand of grill, repaired at your home with parts matched to your model.

Why a grill stops lighting or cooks unevenly

Most grill trouble starts with one of a few parts. An igniter that clicks and never lights the burner is the classic one, and it is often a worn ignition lighter or a dirty electrode. A weak or yellow flame usually points to a clogged orifice or burner ports. Uneven heat can come from the burners, from collapsed heat plates, or from a regulator that is not feeding the line properly.

The trouble is that these symptoms overlap. A burner that looks dead may only be packed with grease, and a grill that seems to need a new regulator may just need a deep clean. Guessing at parts is how people end up paying for the wrong ones, so the first job is working out which part is actually at fault.

Diagnosis first, then the right part for your model

South Bay Grill Cleaning fixes and repairs any brand of grill, and the work happens at your home or business. The process starts with an assessment of your grill. A service call is $150 with a one hour minimum, then $150 an hour, so a quick fix stays quick and a bigger one is billed by the time it takes.

If your grill needs a part, the crew gets the parts that are right for your grill. One homeowner wrote that Mike sourced aftermarket parts for his 20 year old grill as a cost effective alternative to the manufacturer's own, and that the price for parts and labor was reasonable. Replacements also cover briquettes, accessories and BBQ covers, so the grill comes back whole.

Warranty matters when a part is truly beyond repair. A Manhattan Beach homeowner with a Firemagic grill wrote that the burners were found to be past saving, the crew got the company to replace them under warranty, and made several trips to collect the old burners and install the new ones at no extra charge.

After the repair, and what keeps it from coming back

The aim of every visit is a grill that works and looks like new. Nancy in Hermosa Beach had her grill cleaned and the ignition lighter changed in the same visit, in time for her husband's birthday, and wrote that the grill was very clean and shiny. Repair and cleaning pair well because grease and dirt are behind so many failed parts.

Keep ports and burners clear, keep a cover on the grill when it is not in use, and book a deep clean when the flame starts to look weak again. If the grill is for a shared space, the same crew handles it: the Kim Jones Team wrote that Mike came out to diagnose their common area BBQ in Rolling Hills Estates and met their deadline. Reading the symptom

Four signs and where they usually lead

These are the usual suspects, not a diagnosis. A grill needs to be looked at before anyone can say which part has failed. Often the answer is a full deep clean, and the pricing page lays out repair rates next to the cleaning sizes.
