The crew

We take grills apart for a living.

South Bay Grill Cleaning specializes in grill cleaning and repair. The goal is to breathe new life into your BBQ grill by cleaning every component and providing replacement parts if needed.

The crew is based in the South Bay of Los Angeles and works on residential BBQ grills. Every visit starts with an assessment and ends with a grill that works and looks like new. All of it happens at your home or business, so nothing leaves your yard.

Mike runs it, and the same few people show up.

Customers name Mike as the owner who comes out to diagnose, and Ronnie and Ivan as the hands that do the work with him. The team on the site reads Mike, Caesar and Mike, and Jimmy missed the picture. Donna Wong wrote that the crew “promptly prep the area by laying out tarps,” and that tells you most of what you need to know about how they treat a yard.

The products are non-caustic, non-toxic, eco-friendly and biodegradable, with no harmful odors or fumes left on your patio. See how the work is split on the services page.

From dirty to done

One visit, six steps, a few hours.

The rule above changes from ember to steel for a reason. The first three steps are the grill as you found it, and the last three are the grill the way you wanted it.

  1. 01

    Assess

The crew looks the grill over before touching it: igniters, burners, gas line, valves, regulators. You hear what it needs before any work starts.

  2. 02

    Take it apart

Tarps go down first. Then the grates, racks, flavorizer bars and heat plates come out so nothing stays hidden under a hood.

  3. 03

    Clean every part

Grates, drip pan, grease tray, hood and the inside walls get degreased. The firebox is vacuumed out. Surface rust comes off.

  4. 04

    Repair

Whatever stopped working because of dirt or a bad assembly gets fixed. If a part is gone, the crew sources one that fits your grill, aftermarket where the maker's own costs too much.

  5. 05

    Reassemble

Everything goes back together in order, and the burners and igniters are checked once more before the hood closes.

  6. 06

    Polish

The stainless, the knobs and the handles are polished last, so the grill leaves looking the way it did the day it was delivered.

“We purchased our lynx grill 12 years ago and was cleaning it ourselves until one day we saw Mike's truck and had them come over.”

Kelly Barry, Google review. “We have used them ever since.”

That is how a lot of regulars started. You can see the grill-by-grill results on the reviews page.
